A great emphasis is placed at the beginner stage of learning the flute on developing good posture, correct breathing, air support and flexible embouchure. The right start makes a huge difference.

Natasha Foresi, Flute Teacher
Born in a family of musicians Natasha Foresi started the flute at the age of 10. Quickly discovering a talent and passion for the instrument she decided to follow in the footsteps of her parents and become a professional musician.
Natasha was lucky to become a student of Moshe Epstein, the professor of flute in the Jerusalem Academy of Music. By that time, her performing experience included solo recitals, concerts with the orchestra and a concert tour in Switzerland with her father.
Moving with her family to Vancouver at the age of 16 Natasha continued her studies with Kathleen Rudolph at the Vancouver Academy of Music. Later, after finishing high school Ms.Foresi pursued her musical studies in Paris (with Maurice Pruvot and Florence Souchard). After receiving le Premier Prix a l’unanimite de la ville de Paris, she continued her studies in Geneva under the tutelage of Emmanuel Pahud, Jose-Daniel Castellon and Jacques Zoon. Graduating from the Geneva Conservatory in 2004 with Diplome de Soloiste, Diplome de musicien d’orchestre and a teaching diploma. For the following 3 years, she was a freelance flautist and teacher in the Geneva area performing with Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Nouvelle orchestre de Geneve and several chamber groups.
Returning to Vancouver in 2008, Natasha Foresi has now a thriving flute studio in Richmond & Surrey.
